Summary: Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the comprehensive Stroke Program. Provides clinical support, education and instruction to the staff and community. Assists with marketing the program, collecting and analyzing data as required. Job
Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the quality and quantity of care delivered to patients with potential diagnosis of stroke or TIA. Coordinates and provides patient/staff/community education related to stroke. Effectively markets the Stroke Program. Provides administrative leadership and assures that the Stroke Program operates effectively and efficiently. Maintains an environment conducive to patient care and patient and staff safety. Monitors outcomes and participates in performance improvement activities. Demonstrates accountability for professional growth through continued educational opportunities. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and education appropriate to the age of the patient Qualifications Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN . Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland . 3-5 years experience in acute care nursing required. A combination of experience and education may be considered. . CPR, ACLS required . Basic PC skills such as Windows and Microsoft word. Preferred: . Masters in Nursing or related discipline . Neuroscience nursing &/or Critical care experienEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
