Nurse Manager Oncology Infusion Center

A nationally distinguished Cancer Program in Northern Virginia is in need of a Nurse Manager for its Oncology Infusion Center.


The Oncology Program at this Magnet Hospital is certified as a Teaching Hospital Cancer Center --¬  the highest ranking possible. The hospital has worked incredibly hard for this designation and seeks a Nurse Manager committed to continuing this culture of excellence. Such distinction also provides the hospital with the advantages of a research and teaching facility, along with continuous coverage by specialists teaching the latest cancer treatments.


The Infusion Center is housed in a state of the art and comprehensive Outpatient Oncology Center. This center has all of the equipment, staff and systems an oncology patient needs in one central location including:

  • Radiation Oncology

  • Outpatient Infusion /Chemotherapy

  • Support Groups


Consolidating diagnosis and outpatient treatment in one convenient hub, the Ambulatory Cancer Center brings together individual oncologists, specialized nursing expertise and the latest technologies to offer advanced capabilities.


Treating the whole person as well as the person's cancer¬  is part of the Cancer Program's mission. It works diligently to complement medical care with education and information about recognized and cutting-edge treatment options, current status of research as well as nutrition and psychosocial counseling and support groups fulfills the range of care for cancer survivors and caregivers.¬ 


Acupuncture, meditation and guided imagery, massage therapy, yoga and spiritual/pastoral counseling are some of the non-allopathic method offered at the Outpatient Center.The Nurse Manager of the Oncology Infusion Center will be experienced in chemotheepry and a BSN with an ONS or OCN is strongly preferred. The Manager will have clinical and some administrative responsibilities to the unit on a daily basis.¬  The responsibility includes unit administration, direct nursing care and coordinating activities with ancillary departments. An advanced competency level, knowledge of the nursing process, and consistently meeting or exceeding all criteria of the staff nurse performance appraisal tool is expected.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
